Kennedy Pitcher
Kennedy is a PhD student in the UC San Diego Department of Political Science, where she is an Institute of Practical Ethics (IPE) fellow; and a researcher in the Cyber Escalation lab at the Center for Peace and Security Studies (cPASS). Her research interests include internet censorship and cyber security, with a specific focus on the political economy of censorship. Her current work studies how cyber and censorship approaches are strategically employed as methods of repression in response to domestic dissent and used to manipulate election results. Kennedy received her BA in Political Science from Spelman College and her MA in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego.
