Vorathip originally joined as a undergraduate sophomore in 2021 and is currently a 2nd-year Master's student studying International Affairs and International Development with a focus on data analysis at UC San Diego's School of Global Policy and Strategy (GPS) through the joint BA/MIA program.
His research interests revolve around China, Russia, and Central Asia, focusing on the interactions between economic policies and human rights policies in relation to soft power, foreign policy, and conflict resolution.
